Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Hematology / Oncology (Sacramento, CA)

Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Hematology / Oncology team in Sacramento, CA!

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside a collaborative team of oncologists, hematologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, and support staff
• Provide care in both outpatient clinic and inpatient consultative settings
• Manage patients with a variety of oncologic and hematologic conditions, including solid tumors, anemia, thrombocytopenia, coagulopathies, and more
• Participate in new patient consults, follow-up care, symptom management, treatment education, and survivorship planning
• Utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment tools and have access to clinical trials and research support through the Sutter Institute for Medical Research (SIMR)
• Engage in multidisciplinary tumor boards and case discussions

Qualifications :

Graduate from an accredited NP or PA program with appropriate national certification (e.g., AANP, ANCC, NCCPA).

California licensure eligibility and clearances (NP / PA licensure required).

Exceptional communication skills, comfortable working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment including patient / family interactions.

Licensed and certified as a Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP, FNP) or Physician Assistant

National certification required (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)

At least 1 2 years of experience in hematology / oncology or a related specialty strongly preferred
