Overview

AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in New York, NY October 15-17. This is a great opportunity to learn about career opportunities starting Spring / Summer 2026. The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm, where you can hear from AECOM staff about projects, career paths, and the company. On Thursday and Friday, interviews will take place at our New York office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities. AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Construction Engineer for our Transportation Projects in the New York City Metropolitan Area (NY METRO). The candidates will be working on Transit / Rail and Bridge / Highway Projects in the New York City Metropolitan Area (NY METRO). This position is expected to begin in Spring / Summer 2026 or as discussed.

Note : This position is part of an invitation-only event and related recruiting activities.

Responsibilities

  • Under direct supervision, perform routine duties requiring knowledge of basic engineering principles.
  • Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work.
  • Perform specific and limited portions of broader assignments.
  • Spend time performing estimating take-offs and performing walk-downs for quantity tracking, reporting installed quantities, and conducting field inspections to verify adherence to design.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with CADD, HCS, Revit, Sketchup, AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoades, InSite, and GIS is preferred.

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

    • Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $75,000.00 - $105,000.00.
