About The Position

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

Driver's license required, must not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any affiliated facility.

Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care.

Candidates must pass an open book exam during orientation with a score of 90% or higher.

Description :

This unit cares for a diverse patient population, including young adults through geriatrics.

Common diagnoses include sepsis, STEMI, COVID, stroke, neurosurgery, renal failure, respiratory failure, and cancer.

Staff will engage with various monitoring and therapeutic devices, including ICPs and balloon pumps.

Registered Nurses are responsible for titrating drips such as sedation, paralytics, pressors, antihypertensives, heparin, and insulin.

There is a Charge Nurse on each shift who does take an assignment.

Nurse aides and patient care technicians are present on this unit at a ratio of 1 : 10.

Registered Nurses are required to read and interpret telemetry strips.

The unit has a fast-paced environment and utilizes remote monitoring systems.

Staff will focus on bedside shift reporting and intentional hourly rounding.

Candidates should be motivated and ready to critically think through complex situations.

There is an emphasis on embracing cultural diversity and providing high-quality patient care.

Schedule is determined by unit schedulers, including weekend and holiday requirements, with opportunities for floating to other areas.

Navy blue scrubs are the required dress code for Registered Nurses.
