The associate audio-video technology specialist will provide technical support to customers in the operation and best practices of classroom and conference spaces. Additionally, this position will be responsible for identifying issues in technology-equipped spaces and resolving these issues under the direction of their supervisor. This position may serve other colleges or units through the collaborative efforts of Information Technology Partners.

High school diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years of work experience in IT?related functions such as hardware / software support, programming, network design, network engineering, IT systems integration, or closely related field. College coursework which includes information Technology (IT), IT Management, Programming, IT systems, or a closely related discipline, may be substituted as follows : 30 semester hours equals one (1) year. Associate's degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen (18) months, 90 semester hours equals two (2) years. Bachelor's Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years. Experience with A / V technology support (for example : projectors, microphones, cameras, digital signage, or related software tools) Experience working in a customer service environment.
Experience in technology at an institution of higher education or equivalent.
Knowledge of the systems and operations used within the areas and departments of responsibility.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to oversee and coordinate activities of user groups.
Ability to effectively communicate with other colleagues, supervisors, administrative staff, and other IT users.
Ability to identify and resolve technical problems.
Ability to effectively communicate and professionally interact with all staff levels.
Familiarity with project management concepts.
Familiarity with networking concepts and connectivity.
Knowledge of current technology and software for production and display of multimedia content (e.g. cameras, mixers, projectors, and digital displays).
Familiarity with modern Windows operating systems.
Familiarity with A / V technology, setup, and coordination for large and / or remote events.
Familiarity with enterprise tools or services such as endpoint management, imaging, or centralized solutions.
Familiarity with instructional or collaborative space design.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5031 - Information Technology Technical Associate position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the search close date. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity. The budgeted salary range for the position is $47,600 to $56,600. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
