Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Stepdown / Telemetry night shift position with a WA or compact RN license and prior neuro experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Neuro Stepdown / Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care Level II Trauma Center
  • Patient ratio is 1 : 5
  • Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 19 : 00-07 : 00
  • Every other weekend is required
  • Floating is required between units and potentially sister facilities within the state
  • Epic is used for charting and EMR documentation
  • Hospital is a teaching facility
  • Responsibilities include caring for neuro stepdown patients and monitoring telemetry
  • No on-call requirements
  • Scrub color for RNs is any color
  • First-time travelers are eligible for this position
  • All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; post-submittal requests may not be approved
  • Pre-employment modules must be completed before start and annually (approximately 16 hours)
  • Free parking is available on site

    • Requirements

  • Active WA or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years of related neuro stepdown or telemetry RN experience
  • Neuro experience is required
  • Epic EMR experience is required
  • Ability to provide at least 2 supervisory references from the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay
  • Returning former perm staff must wait 3 months before applying as a traveler
