Responsibilities :

  • Perform mold and die changes according to the production schedule, including emergency changes.
  • Set up injection molding machines, including dies, chillers, thermolaters, and hot runners.
  • Unload and load die shipments and maintain die storage areas.
  • Inspect machines for leaks or malfunctions and perform minor corrections (air, water, hydraulic).
  • Prepare and maintain assembly or secondary operation equipment in the work center.
  • Keep work area clean and organized and complete all required documentation.
  • Communicate supply needs and coordinate repairs or die set adjustments.
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety rules.

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 3 years recent experience in plastic injection molding die set-up and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of tools, materials, and quality standards.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stoop, and stand for prolonged periods.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
