Project Manager III

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Project Manager III is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing engineering projects from inception through completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. This position involves coordinating project team efforts, managing communication with stakeholders, and ensuring successful project execution with minimal supervision.

Essential responsibilities include collaborating with sponsors, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to develop project scope, schedule, and budget information; planning, executing, organizing, and monitoring all aspects of multiple projects in parallel; creating and maintaining detailed implementation schedules with key milestone plans; identifying project risks and issues; collecting project task information; fostering accountability; communicating project status; proactively escalating projects in jeopardy; working closely with cross-functional departments; preparing capital appropriations and purchase requisitions; building and maintaining a trusted relationship with project team members; entering pertinent project data into Microsoft Sensei Projects database; monitoring critical path activities; and providing clear, timely, and accurate project status reports for management.

Position requirements include a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field; five years minimum experience in project management of engineering projects; strong knowledge of project management tools; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; ability to identify project risk, scope creep, and missing critical requirements; demonstrated ability to plan and execute projects to successful completion in an engineering environment; capacity to work in a high-paced, changing environment; strong documentation skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely; ability to facilitate meetings and drive consensus; ability to address and resolve issues during the planning phase; strong leadership and emotional intelligence skills; ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively; high self-motivation and willingness to learn; working knowledge of MS Office products; and the ability to travel periodically (up to 10%).
