Summary : Qualcomm is a company of inventors that unlocked 5G, ushering in an age of rapid connectivity and new possibilities. We are seeking a CPU Power Management FW Developer to work on enablement of power management solutions for Qualcomm's custom CPUs, including firmware development and characterization for all Qualcomm SoCs utilizing these CPUs.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 6+ years of experience, OR
  • Master's degree with 5+ years, OR
  • PhD with 4+ years.

Role and Responsibilities :

  • Design, implement, and verify firmware in pre- and post-silicon environments.
  • Define limits management solutions for future Qualcomm CPUs.
  • Engage with open-source communities and contribute to processor architecture support.
  • Collaborate on platform bring-up / debug / diags and firmware lifecycle management.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • BS / BEng in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 5 years' embedded firmware experience.
  • Proficiency in C and assembly, driver development in RTOS or OS Kernel environments.
  • Experience with embedded OSes like Zephyr, eCos, uC / OS, or FreeRTOS.
  • Experience with pre-silicon development, power and thermal tuning for SoC subsystems, and familiarity with ARM v8 architecture.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Frequent movement within offices and campuses, equipment handling, and prolonged computer use.

    • Education : Minimum Bachelors in relevant fields.

    Work Experience : 4+ years with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, and 8+ years of software engineering experience.
