Our client, located in Santa Monica, California, is seeking a Security Manager who is responsible for overseeing and implementing security measures to protect an organization's assets, employees, and guests, ensuring a safe and secure environment. A basic understanding of Cybersecurity is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Implement Security Policies : Create and enforce security protocols and procedures to safeguard the organization’s assets and personnel.
Risk Assessment : Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate potential threats.
Incident Response : Coordinate responses to security incidents, including investigations and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Compliance : Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security operations.
Emergency Preparedness : Develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure readiness for various scenarios.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Education : A high school diploma is typically required; a college degree in a related field (e.g., criminal justice, security management) is often preferred.
Experience : Proven experience of 3 years in security management or a related field, with a strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
Leadership Skills : Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage security teams and interact with various stakeholders.
Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze security risks and develop effective strategies to address them.
Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with security technologies and systems like CIEM logs, CCTV networks , including surveillance equipment, and access control systems.
