Licensed Claims Counsel

A company is looking for a Claims Counsel to provide legal support and guidance to Claims personnel in a fully remote position.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee litigated P&C coverage matters and assist Claims personnel with negotiated resolutions

Review P&C claims for coverage issues and provide research and guidance to Claims staff

Draft coverage position letters and assist with document collection and drafting responses to subpoenas

Required Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in at least one state

At least 5-7 years' experience evaluating P&C coverage claims and litigation

Experience with General Liability, BOP, Commercial Auto, Workers' Compensation, and Professional Liability coverage issues preferred

Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite and working remotely
