PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location : Prestige Care Center of Plattsmouth | 602 S 18th St, Nebraska City, NE

Schedule : PRN (As Needed)

We’re seeking a compassionate and dedicated SLP who delivers exceptional, evidence-based care in alignment with state and federal guidelines.

Required Qualifications

Current, valid, and unrestricted Speech-Language Pathology license in the state of employment.

Must meet all educational and certification requirements for state licensure.

Valid driver’s license in the state of employment.

Knowledge of skilled nursing facility regulations , documentation standards, and best practices in long-term care.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and deliver speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy programs in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and ASHA standards of practice.

Conduct comprehensive evaluations and establish individualized treatment plans that promote communication, swallowing safety, and cognitive-linguistic function.

Maintain accurate documentation, billing, and coding of services per facility and payer requirements.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care, discharge planning, and optimal resident outcomes.

Monitor and report key performance indicators for the speech therapy program, ensuring compliance and quality outcomes.

Ensure all therapy equipment and tools are properly maintained, cleaned, and used safely.

Provide education and training to residents, families, and staff regarding communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.

Participate in team meetings and committees to discuss resident progress and care plans.

Maintain professional conduct in accordance with the Speech-Language Pathology Practice Act and ASHA Code of Ethics .

Promote a positive, respectful, and supportive environment that prioritizes resident dignity and well-being.
