Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Parkersburg, WV (26101) – West Virginia nursing jobs Unit : 4N Ortho-Neuro (Medical Surgical) Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 17 / 2025 – End : 1 / 16 / 2026) Shift : 12-hour day shifts (07 : 00–19 : 30), weekends as scheduled Hours : 36 hours per week guaranteed Estimated Weekly Salary : $1820 - $1950 Employment Type : Travel Nursing (W2) Charting System : EPIC Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia or compact state BLS certification (AHA required) Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience Experience with orthopedic patients and PCA pumps Proficiency with EPIC charting system Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as needed Royal blue scrubs required Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients recovering from elective orthopedic surgeries (hips, knees, shoulders), fractures, and neuro-surgical procedures Administer IV fluids and manage PCA pumps Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals including Patient Care Techs, Respiratory Therapists, and Charge Nurses Document patient care accurately using EPIC Float to other Medical Surgical units as needed Participate in orientation (EPIC and unit-specific) for a seamless transition Discover the professional and personal rewards of travel nursing in Parkersburg, WV.
