Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated senior level Electrical System Specialist with experience in Mission Critical / Data Center work to join one of PRIME's outstanding teams with room for growth and professional development.

Senior Electrical System Specialists are responsible for the I&C on power distribution equipment at our various sites. Scope includes, but not limited to, setting communication devices and topology industrial networks, uploading HMI / PLC programs, installation of I / O and CPUs, integration of 3rd Party EPMS, initial testing, operation, troubleshooting and modification of customer equipment and systems including MV / LV switchgear, transformers, metering, power monitoring, power quality, and protective relays.

What You Will Do

• Lead basic to complex installation and checkout of electric and electronic components for systems and service installed jobs and service agreements. Tasks are associated with maintenance and testing of switchgear / switchboard, motor controls, circuit breakers, panel boards, transformers, and surge protection devices
• Responsible for vibration analysis and metering, battery maintenance and testing, power monitoring, power quality, and protective relay maintenance
• Set communication devices and topology industrial networks; upload HMI / PLC programs; install I / O and CPUs
• Perform integration of 3rd Party EPMS; initial testing, operation, troubleshooting and modification of customer equipment and systems
• Test MV or LV Circuit breakers; metal clad / vacuum switchgear; breakers or LV equipment and analyze test results
• Conduct Equipment Condition Assessments
• Troubleshoot and repair Electrical Control Circuits
• Organize and maintain job documentation
• Provide on-site assistance with or perform programming, start-up, checkout, commissioning, and validation processes.
• Participate in job site final walk-through, complete all job closeout documentation, and provide customer training.
• Act as technical resource to customers and field employees
• Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operation and routine inspections. Train customers to maintain and adjust complex equipment.
• Provide expert advice, training, and technical assistance to support staff and train lower-level employees.
• Complete and submit reports covering all job activity.
• Responsible for maintaining complex tools, test equipment, calibration items, etc.
• Plan and estimate labor categories, rates, material dollar costs, and transportation expenses to complete complex proposals.
• Perform review of complex task plans, drawings, and installation schematics; provide continual guidance throughout the project duration.
• Must be available to respond to emergency and relief assignments.
• Develops and maintains effective client relationships contributing to successful project outcomes.
• Monitors jobsite safety and takes appropriate action to address and correct deficiencies
• Performs other duties as requested
