General Position Summary : Nolan Catholic High School is a private, college preparatory high school embedded in the following four pillars : academics, character, faith and leadership. The Advancement Department at NCHS has the overarching goal of moving our school from where it is now to where it wants to be for future generations – advancing its vision and mission. The Director of Advancement leads the Advancement Department and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Importantly, the Director of Advancement is a key executive leader and works to build a culture of philanthropy and support for the school’s vision and mission in a way that ensures the financial stability needed for growth and advancement. The Director of Advancement is responsible for the planning, coordination and successful execution of all aspects of fundraising initiatives for the school to meet and / or exceed revenue goals set forth in the operational budget, ultimately incorporating transformative strategies leading to long term financial sustainability and greater mission effectiveness.

Principal Accountabilities :

• Embraces and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
• Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
• Identifies as a Catholic in good standing
• Supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school and Diocese
• Abides by the Confidentiality Policy set forth in the Diocese Employee Handbook
• Provides leadership to the Advancement Department promoting an organizational and team culture that fosters the understanding of philanthropy, respect, collaboration and overall teamwork
• Works collaboratively with school leadership, faculty, staff, board members, parents and volunteers to build meaningful relationships and secure philanthropic support for the school’s mission and long-term support
• Ensures integration between all areas of the Advancement Department (development / fundraising, donor relations, recruitment, alumni relations and database management) to facilitate overall success of goals and objectives
• Collaborates with the Director of Communications and Director of Branding and Strategic Programming to establish a consistent brand and compelling messages
• Develops, coordinates and successfully executes a comprehensive development plan to meet annual revenue budget requirements
• Designs and implements necessary strategies for capacity building in all key result areas
• Oversees donor recognition programs, ensuring accurate and timely gift processing and acknowledgement
• Utilizes data-driven evaluation metrics to determine outcomes and return on investment
• Manages and monitors the Advancement Department budget
