Position Summary
The Clinical Nurse Manager provides leadership and direction to the clinical support team, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and a positive team culture. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and collaborating with leadership to implement policies and procedures that align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership & Team Development
- Foster an inspiring and supportive team environment through consistent, positive leadership.
- Provide guidance, instruction, coaching, and training to ensure staff perform to their highest potential.
- Support staff development by identifying training needs and mentoring team members in clinical competencies.
- Conduct routine staff meetings to maintain communication, engagement, and alignment with organizational priorities.
Operations & Clinical Oversight
Oversee daily clinical operations, ensuring smooth workflow and appropriate staff coverage.Monitor staff adherence to policies, procedures, and professional standards; initiate corrective action as needed.Assist with clinical tasks when necessary to maintain adequate patient coverage and clinic flow.Ensure patient satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly, developing process improvements, and implementing patient-centered solutions.Policy, Compliance & Quality Assurance
Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures in collaboration with the Medical Director and Practice Administrator.Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, labor laws, and all applicable provincial / territorial and federal regulations.Maintain accurate and timely documentation, records, and reporting related to clinical operations.Human Resources & Staff Management
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new clinical team members.Ensure completion of initial and ongoing competency assessments.Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback in collaboration with the Practice Administrator.Manage staff scheduling, PTO requests, and coverage to maintain operational needs.Resource & Budget Management
Maintain inventory of supplies and medical equipment; ensure cost-effective purchasing within budgetary guidelines.Coordinate vendor relationships for supply ordering and equipment servicing.Assist leadership in identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality of care.Qualifications
