The Retail Superintendent's main focus is managing the schedule, quality, and safety in order to keep the project moving forward quickly and efficiently.

Maintain project schedule through updates, implementing logic modifications, and adding activitiesMentor interns, project engineers and assistant superintendentsRun weekly sub-contractor coordination meetingsPrepare constructability reviews to determine completeness of documents; review details for buildabilityAssist with initiation of set up of jobsiteSubmissions of drawings to city and state agencies and inspection process leading to Certificate of OccupancyAttend weekly team and OAC meetingsDocument ControlAppropriately file documentation using the project electronic filing system as it relates to field paperworkAssist Engineer with RFI review requests for information, including resolution of issues involving multiple tradesPerform surveillance of contractor documents to ensure they are building from the latest document setCoordinate project changes with trades and contractorsAssist with review of submittals and shop drawings. Coordinate with construction documents and field / constructability issues. Use submittals to verify work or materials in the fieldPrepare detailed and timely daily reports. Incorporate / review subcontractor's daily reports for issues, coordination and claim avoidanceAssist with maintenance and updating of record set of documentsAssist Engineer with material / submittal log to ensure timely submission by completing document review as requiredCost ManagementAssist with management of overall budget by helping to control cost and monitoring potential changes from contractorsAssist with management of general conditions budgetIdentify contractor changes to purchased scopeReview contractor quotations for changesQualifications
5+ year's construction experienceProject experience with interior renovations, ground-up, established malls and new mall environments, renovation work in occupied and unoccupied environments, urban and suburban work locationsRECOMMENDED TRAINING / CERTIFICATIONS :
