The Leadership Giving Officer (LGO), CEPS works to fundraise at the leadership giving level ($25,000 - $99,999). The incumbent will focus primarily on managing a portfolio of prospects capable of making philanthropic contributions in this range from CEPS constituents to support the priorities set by the Dean of CEPS. They will collaborate with CEPS leadership and stakeholders, as well as colleagues across the Development team and University Advancement. They will coordinate strategic communications, events, and other initiatives to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, engage and steward prospects toward leadership level giving. They should be goal-oriented, entrepreneurial, strategic, and able to build and expand relationships with constituents to achieve measurable philanthropic outcomes. Requirements include a proven track record in fundraising or a closely related field, strong interpersonal skills, project / priorities management, and high motivation, organization, and attention to detail.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Front-Line Fundraising (80%) : Manage and expand a portfolio of CEPS constituents capable of leadership gifts ($25,000–$99,999); maintain frequent contact to build relationships and increase philanthropic support.
• Conduct up to 150 visits per year with prospects via video, phone, or in-person; travel across the state / region and occasionally the U.S.; involve the CEPS Dean, faculty, and staff when needed.
• Craft funding proposals to facilitate leadership gifts and multi-year commitments aligned with donors' and deans' priorities.
• Sponsor gifts at all levels for CEPS, focusing on leadership gifts to meet annual revenue goals.
• Assist the Development team in achieving alumni participation goals and participate in key campaigns (e.g., annual 603 Challenge, year-end pushes).
• Facilitate pipeline movement across Development stages and collaborate with colleagues to transition prospects.
• Qualify new prospects for leadership giving and steward donors to maximize their potential.
• Utilize CRM and other technologies to manage and grow the portfolio.
• Leadership Giving Program Strategy, Planning and Coordination (20%) : Plan and execute leadership giving communications and marketing for CEPS with colleagues across teams; plan cultivation and stewardship activities with Development colleagues.
• Consult with CEPS leadership and faculty to align tactics with priorities / vision.
• Partner with the Senior Director of Leadership Giving to set annual goals and monitor progress via timely data entry; ensure goals are achieved.
• Work with Development and Advancement teams to align leadership giving with broader fundraising and engagement strategies.
• Participate in events, programs, meetings, and initiatives supporting UNH and CEPS as directed.

Hybrid Workplace Expectation

This is a hybrid position. The expectation is that employees reside within reasonable distance to the Durham, NH campus so they can come to campus according to business needs. Exact in-person vs. remote arrangement will be clarified by the hiring manager.
