Job Title : Ultrasound Technologist Per Diem (Day & Night Shifts)

Location : Shasta Regional Medical Center California

Position Summary :

Shasta Regional Medical Center is seeking skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technologists to join our per diem pool for both day and night shifts. The Ultrasound Tech will perform high-quality diagnostic sonographic examinations in accordance with physician orders and established imaging protocols while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, including general, OB / GYN, and vascular studies.

Prepare and position patients for imaging, explaining procedures clearly and compassionately.

Operate ultrasound equipment to capture diagnostic images according to physician specifications.

Process and transmit images to PACS for interpretation.

Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal image quality and performance.

Adhere to all hospital safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality standards.

Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications :

Current RDMS (ARDMS) or Sonography (ARRT-S) certification (required).

California Radiologic Health Branch (RHB) certification , if applicable.

BLS (AHA) certification (required).

Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program (required).

Minimum 1 2 years of recent ultrasound experience in a hospital or acute-care setting preferred.

Proficiency with PACS and EMR systems (EPIC experience preferred).

Shift Details :

Schedule : Per Diem, variable availability

Day Shift : 7 : 00 AM 7 : 30 PM

Night Shift : 7 : 00 PM 7 : 30 AM

Setting : Inpatient and Emergency Department coverage
