Engagement Coordinator
The Engagement Coordinator supports the Human Resources department by coordinating and executing key employee engagement and onboarding initiatives. This role oversees and enhances the employee onboarding experience, including the residency onboarding program. It also supports employee-led resource groups and other engagement activities. The Engagement Coordinator collaborates closely with the Organizational Development Specialist on projects aimed at improving organizational effectiveness, culture, and overall employee experience. Additionally, this role supports loan programs efforts, including HRSA employment verification and related employee assistance, as part of fostering an inclusive, engaging, and employer-of-choice workplace from the moment of hire onward.
Location : This role is primarily located in Midtown - Sacramento, CA (95811).
Essential Functions
- Coordinate and manage all onboarding activities, including logistics, scheduling, communication, and follow-up.
- Lead and continuously improve the Residency Onboarding Program to ensure a seamless and welcoming experience.
- Collaborate with HR and cross-functional departments to ensure onboarding materials and sessions reflect current policies, values, and initiatives.
- Assist in the launch and maintenance of employee-led resource groups (ERGs), providing coordination, communication, and administrative support.
- Manage data entry and communication required for various loan programs (OCH, HRSA, SLRP, etc)
- Coordinate meetings, agendas, minutes, and activities of the Employer of Choice Committee
- Develop engagement-related content for OneHub
- Track metrics related to engagement and onboarding to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Respond to employee questions and concerns regarding onboarding and engagement programs in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with a variety of employees at all levels on initiatives and projects that enhance organizational culture, employee experience, and internal processes.
Additional Duties
Provide support for engagement events, internal surveys, and communication initiatives on an as-needed basis.Assist in creating engagement announcements and onboarding materials.Perform other related duties as assigned in support of the Human Resources department.Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in program coordination, administration, training, education, or a related field.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with individuals at all levels of the organization.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating presentations or training materials.Ability to manage multiple projects, track details, and analyze data to support continuous improvement.Demonstrated commitment to a person-centered approach, with an understanding of trauma-informed systems and restorative practices.Preferred Background
