District Sales Manager- Southeast Region

Preferred Locations : Atlanta area highly preferred, North Carolina, South Carolina

Position Summary

SFS is looking for a District Sales Manager to deliver sales and account acquisition results that meet or exceed budgets and forecasts and defined performance targets, along with managing key accounts in the Construction Division to grow existing sales and identify specific strategies and tactics to generate new accounts. He or she will represent SFS brand in the marketplace by being a brand ambassador while exhibiting our corporate values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Development : Proactively engage with customers to build and foster strong relationships, establishing SFS as their preferred partner.
  • Market Engagement : Represent SFS in meetings, presentations, and industry events to expand awareness and influence.
  • Project Tracking : Monitor ongoing opportunities, ensuring SFS specifications are upheld while identifying and converting competitive projects into wins.
  • Commercial Execution : Collaborate with customers on pricing, contracts, and agreements, while implementing adjustments such as price increases when required.
  • Industry Involvement : Actively participate in relevant trade organizations and events to build networks and market presence.
  • Expert Support : Serve as the go-to expert for SFS solutions, providing technical guidance and training to customers where needed.
  • Collaboration : Partner closely with internal SFS teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • On-Site Involvement : Attend customer and project meetings as required to ensure communication of schedules, issues, and project requirements.
  • Travel & Presence : Travel regularly within the region to maintain a strong customer presence and engagement.
  • Data & Reporting : Maintain accurate customer and project records in SFS's CRM system for transparency and alignment across the business.
  • Continuous Learning : Participate in SFS training programs to stay current on solutions, market trends, and best practices.

The Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Construction Management, Business, or other relevant field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in outside sales / business development.

Knowledge of commercial construction processes, (schedules, meetings, contracts, etc).

Understanding of channel sales value as well as market vs. distributor pricing models.

Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to work independently, covering a large geographical area with minimal supervision; proven ability to function as a member of a team and to help others when needed.

Valid, state issued driver's license required with clean motor vehicle record.

Ability to travel 75% of the time locally within territory, sometimes requiring overnight stays.

Additional Preferred Qualifications :

3-5+ years of sales / business development experience in building envelope, rain screen / external faade, roofing, or wall construction.

3-5+ years of experience in a field sales role dealing with contractors, distributors, and independent sales organizations.

High level of technical proficiency and business acumen; high level of comfort in technical, construction meetings with the ability to resolve conflict and negotiate, "win-win" outcomes for SFS and its customers.
