We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Estimator with experience in civil construction to join our team in our Austin, Texas office.

Responsibilities :

  • Sound organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, Geotech.
  • Prepare bids, select vendors / subcontractors and estimate 'self-performed' crew compositions and production rates.
  • Make scope of work determinations and perform quantity take-offs.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Communicate and collaborate with wide range of individuals, including both Operations and other Estimating team members
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, means, and methods); supervision, estimating, schedules, budget, and safety.
  • Knowledge of field concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA and safety requirements.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience with Agtek Earthwork take-off software is preferred.
  • A desire to learn and grow
  • Willingness to cooperate in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate 100% detailed understanding of project scope.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Heavy Civil construction. Specifically, earthwork, underground water, underground wastewater, underground drainage and street / highway construction.
  • Education and Experience :

  • Education : High school diploma or GED (Bachelors Preferred).
  • Experience : Over 8 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on heavy civil construction projects, including structure projects, and experience estimating projects ranging from $1M to $50M.
  • Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions :

  • Prolonged periods of sitting
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Office-based work with varying temperatures.
  • Occasional travel to jobsites with fluctuations in weather.
  • Job Type : Exempt, Full-time
