Administrative Assistant 3, Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program, School of Integrated Health Sciences
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for an Administrative Assistant 3 position for the Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program in the School of Integrated Health Sciences. The role involves managing the day-to-day operations for the Occupational Therapy program, including receiving / screening incoming telephone calls, greeting visitors and students, handling departmental correspondence, maintaining all program files, overseeing all inventoried equipment / supplies, managing departmental office supplies, managing all accreditation documentation, and more.
This position is not eligible for remote work; it is an on-campus position at the UNLV Medical District, 1001 Shadow Lane. Work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.
Minimum Qualifications : Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas : maintenance of complex records and files; public / customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations, and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims, and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Preferred Qualifications : Accuracy in all aspects of the job is required, including excellent customer service skills and computer skills. This job requires an individual who is motivated, can work independently, can multi-task, and always provide follow-up and follow-through on tasks. This includes prioritizing work demand; delegating responsibilities; and completing assignments by strict deadlines. The administrative assistant must be able to follow directions, have excellent time-management skills, communicate well with others, pay attention to details, be resourceful, adaptable, flexible, and be dedicated to the OTD Program and SIHS and the University, their missions and goals. Due to the complex nature of our Occupational Therapy Program and its accreditation status through ACOTE, a thorough understanding of the program and the process to obtain clinical practice credentials is essential. This position must continue personal growth through available training, workshops, and seminars to better assist the administration and growth of the School.
