Position Overview : Route Mechanic Helper

Are you someone who loves solving problems, working with your hands, and learning on the job? As a Route Mechanic Helper, youll partner with a skilled route mechanic to perform preventive and corrective maintenance across a diverse range of commercial properties in New Jersey. Youll ride in a company van, gain real-world experience across multiple trades, and build a strong foundation in mobile facilities engineering.

What Youll Be Doing

• Assist in maintaining and repairing building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and more
• Support day-to-day operations and maintenance across various property typesfrom small suites to multi-story offices
• Monitor and troubleshoot systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing (under supervision)
• Help ensure buildings stay operational, safe, and looking great
• Respond to client needs and emergencies with urgency and professionalism
• Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours or weekend needs
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations
