We are currently seeking a skilled Radiation Oncologist for a locum tenens opportunity near Wayland, MI. This position is available ASAP and will continue on an ongoing basis until a permanent hire is made. Reason for Coverage : Physician turnover

Coverage Duration : ASAP - Ongoing until a permanent hire is made

Patient Population : Adult and hospital-based patients

Team and Support :

Physicians in Practice : 2

Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) : 1 Nurse Practitioner to support the clinic

Other Radiation Oncologists : Yes, another Radiation Oncologist will be present during the locum tenens coverage

Patient Load :

Average Outpatient (Clinic / Office) Per Day : 10-15 patients

Average Inpatient (Call / Rounding) Per Day : 0 patients

Required Procedures :

Conventional Radiotherapy

3D Radiotherapy

External Beam Radiation - 3D-CRT

External Beam Radiation - IGRT

External Beam Radiation - IMRT

Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)

Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)

Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy

Required Duties :

Orders Tests and Images : Ensure all necessary tests and imaging are ordered for patient care

Prescribing : Manage prescriptions relevant to radiation oncology treatments

Documentation and Systems :

EMR Systems : Aria & Epic

Certification and Licensing :

Certification Requirements : BLS, Board Certified, or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology

State License Requirements : Active Michigan license required
