American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Adult Emergency Department position requiring a MA RN license and recent Level I or II ED experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in an Adult Emergency Department within a hospital settingPatient population includes adults, with possible floating to Psych ED and Pediatric ED for patients age 15+ unless prior pediatric experience is demonstratedWork a 12-hour rotating night shift schedule that includes 7 : 00pm-7 : 30am, 11 : 00pm-11 : 30am, or 3 : 00am-3 : 30pmEvery other weekend and holiday coverage is requiredPatient ratio is typically 1 : 4-5 depending on patient acuityTravelers will not be assigned to trauma roomsRole involves working in a high-volume ED with up to 120 treatment areas, serving 350-440 patients per dayFlexibility to float to Psych ED and Pedi ED as needed by the unitMust complete and pass Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia testing prior to starting; test can be attempted twiceMonthly parking fees applyFirst-time travelers are consideredHoliday coverage is required for assigned holidaysLocal candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates (except for Sterile Processing Unit)\n \n Requirements\n
Active MA RN license required at time of considerationCurrent certifications : BLS, ACLS, TNCC, all active and unexpiredMinimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience, or 2+ years of recent Level 3 / 4 ED experienceAbility to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocksMust pass a Telemetry Test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higherLevel I trauma hospital experience requiredEPIC experience preferredTwo professional references required, including one from a manager with a performance evaluation and one within the last 12 months\n Benefits\n
