Service Yard Laborer

Overview

As a Yard Laborer, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our facility while providing excellent customer service and maintaining safety standards. Radiating friendliness, ensuring safety, and delivering a seamless disposal experience is at the core of your role, making our customers' lives easier, one visit at a time.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and review load sheets for deliveries scheduled
• Safely load, unload, and secure load for safe transport on trucks and trailers
• Clean, maintained, and stocked toilets, sinks, holding tanks, and fence
• Maintain clean wash pad and storage area
• Clean loose trash off trucks / trailers and ground around trucks that spill during the loading and unloading process to maintain clean sites and safety along roads and highways
• Courteously interacts with drivers or the general public to answer questions or respond to requests. Notifies superiors of issues requiring management action
• Maintains and submits load sheets and daily site inspection paperwork
• Follow instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively with team members
• Hand-pull special items and conduct load checks for prohibited / add-on items

Compensation

Requirements

Knowledge of the forklift and its components and the basic maintenance requirements for safe operations. Ability to read and write well enough to complete load sheets.

Walking, bending, climbing, crouching, driving, sitting, twisting, reaching, pushing / pulling, gripping / grasping controls
