Job Summary :
A respected private practice in Arlington, Washington, is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Mental Health Therapist to join its growing team. This is a full-time W-2 position with a sustainable caseload of up to 25 clients, offering comprehensive benefits, ongoing mentorship, and long-term stability.
The Mental Health Therapist will provide individual, couples, and family therapy to clients navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, substance use, stress management, and identity development.
This role involves conducting intake assessments, developing diagnostic impressions, and creating collaborative treatment plans using SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound). A strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach is emphasized to help clients achieve emotional regulation, self-awareness, and resilience.

Compensation & Benefits :
Compensation Range : (Pay Frequency : Monthly)
Associate-Level Clinicians : $55.00 – 60.00 per clinical hour (based on experience, licensure, and education)
Fully Licensed Clinicians : $75.00 – $85.00 per clinical hour (based on experience, licensure, and education)
Full-Time W-2 Benefits Include :
$400 monthly stipend (use as preferred)

Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates who currently live within the State of Washington.
Supervision and Support :
Associate-level clinicians receive weekly supervision and mentorship that fulfill state requirements for post-graduate hours and professional growth toward independent licensure. Supervised clinical hours for license-eligible clinicians are provided exclusively by the Clinical Director, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). All supervision is conducted in accordance with Washington State Department of Health requirements for post-graduate clinical experience.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families using evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
Conduct intake assessments, create treatment plans with SMART goals, and document clinical progress promptly.
Guide clients in developing emotional regulation, coping strategies, and long-term resilience.
Maintain clinical documentation and treatment records in accordance with best practices and ethical standards.
Collaborate with supervisors, peers, and medical professionals for case consultation and coordinated care.
Demonstrate cultural humility and inclusive practice with diverse populations.
Uphold all ethical, legal, and professional standards as defined by relevant licensing boards and professional organizations.
Education Requirement :
Completion of a Master’s degree program (minimum of 3 years) in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related behavioral health field is required.

Master of Science (M.S.) in Rehabilitation Counseling
Master of Arts (M.A.) in Pastoral Counseling (with clinical mental health curriculum)
Master of Science (M.S.) in Addiction or Substance Use Counseling (with clinical mental health curriculum)
Licensure / Credential Requirements :
Associate-Level Clinicians (Working Toward Licensure) Eligible Washington credentials include :
Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA)
Licensed Social Worker Associate – Independent Clinical (LSWAIC).
Fully Licensed Clinicians (Independent Licensure)
Eligible Washington credentials include :
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
Education Requirement :
Completion of a Master’s degree program (minimum of 3 years) in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related behavioral health field is required.
Preferred Competencies :
Experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), or Trauma-Informed Care.
Strong clinical documentation and time management skills.
Commitment to ethical, client-centered, and evidence-based practice.
Ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and identities.
Physical Requirements :
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and using a computer.
Ability to conduct in-person therapy sessions.
