Specialty Account Manager, AUVELITY (Myrtle Beach, SC)
Axsome Therapeutics is seeking a Specialty Account Manager to execute commercial activities for assigned geographies and promote AUVELITY for major depressive disorder in adults, with potential future indications. This field-based role requires access to clinics or hospitals and engagement through digital channels.
Responsibilities
- Proficient in both virtual and live customer engagements
- Develop a comprehensive territory business plan to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual goals
- Promote within approved labeling in a compliant, ethical manner per industry and regulatory guidelines
- Build strong customer relationships by understanding customer needs
- Serve as a resource on payer policies and processes (eligibility / benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals / denials)
- Maximize use of marketing resources to grow customer confidence in prescribing Axsome medications
- Communicate territory activity accurately and timely as directed by management
- Provide feedback to sales, commercial leadership, marketing, and other departments about the changing environment
- Complete training classes and administrative duties timely
- Manage efforts within the assigned promotional budget
- Collaborate across all corporate functions
- Attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed
- Ensure timely access for patients through patient services and savings programs
- Overnight travel as needed
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or universityMinimum of 5 years of field customer experience and / or account management; minimum of 3 years Healthcare Professional experience with relevant CNS experience5 years of consistent top performance in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical salesPsychiatry / CNS experience strongly preferredDemonstrated experience delivering outstanding results; launch experience strongly preferredMust live in the territoryExperience working with cross-functional teams and leveraging resources to achieve goalsAbility to manage multiple tasks under aggressive timelines in a dynamic environmentStrong digital marketing aptitude; excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skillsFrequent driving with extended time on the road; ability to sit / stand for extended periods; ability to lift up to 30 lbs; overhead reaching as neededSalary & Benefits
The anticipated salary range is $100,000 - $150,000 per year. Axsome offers a competitive package including annual bonus, equity, and benefits. Final title and responsibilities may be flexible based on experience and location.
