Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Hardware Project Engineer to work on-site with our client, a worldwide designer, manufacturer, and integrator of precision control components company. This position is 100% on-site in Gilbert, AZ and follows a 9 / 80 work schedule. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.
Responsibilities
Support the lead responsible engineer in the development and production of custom space electronics , and assist senior engineers on complex projects.
Manage and review product requirements from internal and external stakeholders throughout product development, ensuring functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.
Collaborate with design teams to validate conceptual solutions through trade studies and analytical evaluations .
Derive and allocate product requirements to functional disciplines and coordinate verification activities across engineering teams to ensure all requirements are verified and documented.
Author and review engineering analyses and reports; ensure all deliverables meet customer specifications and deadlines.
Write and execute test procedures; support design verification testing and production hardware testing .
Read and interpret printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) schematics , using laboratory equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot electronic failures down to the discrete component or integrated circuit level.
Lead and participate in Failure Review Boards (FRBs) and Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) processes to resolve non-conformance issues encountered during manufacturing and testing.
Must-Have Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (required).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronic systems with at least one of the following areas :
PCBA design
Embedded processor software design
Requirements management
Proven experience authoring, managing, deriving, and verifying requirements for complex electronic systems .
Familiarity with requirements management databases such as IBM Rational DOORS, JAMA Connect, or Siemens Polarion.
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
Strong understanding of computer architecture and digital interface technologies .
Demonstrated ability to work independently with a strong technical foundation, while proactively identifying and resolving technical challenges.
Self-starter with excellent project ownership skills and a commitment to meeting project deliverables.
Ability to work onsite and act as the primary point of contact during 24 / 7 product testing campaigns.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing or specifying space-based, radiation-hardened electronic components .
Direct experience supporting aerospace or spacecraft electronics systems .
Familiarity with design verification testing and hardware qualification processes .
