About being our Right of Way Agent

As our Right of Way Agent , you will support public works and infrastructure projects throughout California. This position plays a critical role in ensuring timely, lawful, and fair property acquisitions that support transportation, utilities, and infrastructure development.

Responsibility Highlights for our Right of Way Agent

• Coordinate and manage all phases of ROW acquisition for public infrastructure projects.
• Interpret right-of-way plans and legal descriptions, work with surveyors, engineers, appraisers, and attorneys.
• Communicate with property owners, negotiate acquisitions, and prepare settlement documentation.
• Ensure compliance with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act and California Government Code Section 7260 et seq.
• Oversee or assist with title research, appraisal coordination, and escrow / closing processes.
• Support condemnation proceedings when necessary, in partnership with legal counsel.
• Maintain detailed records and prepare documentation for agency audit and legal compliance.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, appraisers, attorneys, and public agency representatives.
