Job Purpose :

The Procurement Specialist will own and manage the procurement process for raw materials, with a strong focus on label and packaging components (labels, shrink sleeves, films) , as well as production supplies. Previous experience in label or packaging procurement is highly preferred, as this role requires industry-specific knowledge to effectively partner with suppliers, manage costs, and support production needs. This individual collaborates with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure cost-effective sourcing, reliable supply, and quality standards that support Inovar’s growth and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities :

Source and purchase packaging materials and components based on production forecasts and inventory needs

Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms

Evaluate supplier performance and collaborate on quality improvements

Partner with Sales, Planning, Quality, and Operations to align supply strategy with business needs

Track and report purchase order status, costs, delivery performance, and material usage

Manage inventory levels and support supplier-managed inventory (SMI) or consignment models

Analyze cost data and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency

Maintain accurate purchasing records in ERP / Procurement systems

Ensure compliance with quality, safety, regulatory, and sustainability standards

Support continuous improvement initiatives in the supply chain and sourcing process

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

2+ years of procurement or sourcing experience, preferably in packaging, printing, or manufacturing

Strong negotiation skills and relationship-building expertise

Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and cost control

Familiarity with packaging materials (films, adhesives, inks, labels) is a plus
