SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION :

Responsible for overseeing Exceptional Scholars Services (ESS) program, compliance, and related services personnel which under

the direct supervision of the Director of Exceptional Scholar Services

QUALIFICATIONS / MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

A. Required :

• ? Minimum of a Master’s Degree
• ? Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching Certification OR related services certification / licensure
• ? Three years of experience in special education programs or related field
• ? Thorough working knowledge of the various laws, regulations, theories, teaching / therapy strategies, and

techniques applicable to special education and related services

B. Desired :

SKILLS, FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Responsible for assisting Director of ESS maintaining legal compliance for ESS programs, as assigned

informed about the programs, needs, solicits their suggestions for program improvements, and / or expansion

accurate records, meet deadlines, communicate with individuals of varied cultural and educational backgrounds, and

communicate in oral and written form
