Technical Application Engineer - Largo, FL

The Customer Sales Support Engineer is responsible for providing product and application support, and in some cases, on-site support to customers with field issues involving Beckwith Electric products. These include LTC controls, regulator controls, capacitor controls, recloser controls, feeder, transformer, and generation protection systems, as well as inter-tie protection and bus transfer systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned :

• Investigate and troubleshoot specific customer application or product problems; propose solutions and necessary changes for satisfactory resolution.
• Review specifications, plans, and other customer documents to ensure proper application and operation of the company's products and systems.
• Assist product management with preparing complex quotations and sales orders for controls.
• Review and verify customer control settings for application suitability and calculation accuracy.
• Provide feedback to improve product and application documentation for customers.
• Assist in collecting customer specifications for potential new products and enhancements.
• Support the sales team with technical presentations and demonstrations to facilitate customer acceptance.
• Provide training to company employees, sales representatives, and customers.
• Represent the company at national and regional trade associations, conferences, and exhibitions.
• Overnight travel may be required.
• Adhere to all work rules, including safety and attendance policies.

What will help you thrive in this role?

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics.

EQUIPMENT / TOOLS

Digital multimeters, oscilloscopes (analog / digital), synthesizer / functional generator, AC / DC power supplies, hipot tester, RLC tester, hand solder tools, wrist strap, strap tester, 3-phase test set, digital thermometer, and software including Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and SAP.
