Responsibilities
Lead a Quality Team that fosters a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.Manage the Quality Department ensuring that customers and IATF16949 standards are met / exceed requirements.Manage Quality compliance of advanced product / process planning activities (i.e., APQP, PPAP, Capability Studies, Control Plans, etc.).Provide direction to Quality Associates consistent with the Plant business plans.Manage departmental workforce levels assuring alignment to the budget.Accountable for performance feedback and leadership of the Quality Team including mentoring, coaching, counseling, and corrective action when situation dictates.Address Quality issues / concerns with customers and / or suppliers, including corrective actions initiatives.Comply with all internal and OSHA required safety procedures in the performance of daily activities and hold all direct reports accountable for enforcement.Provide impact on the company\'s success by ensuring that Quality remains at the forefront of our facility.Location : Bardstown, KY with two locations; reports to the Plant Manager with 5 direct reports (Quality Engineers / Quality Supervisors).Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.5+ years in a Quality leadership or Sr. Quality Engineer role within automotive manufacturing.Hands-on Quality experience for stamping and assembly environments is a strong plus.Knowledge of IATF-16949 standards, documentation, and certification.Internal Audit experience in automotive manufacturing.Experience launching programs including APQP and PPAP.Demonstrated cohesive leadership style for the Quality Team.Effective Quality leadership within a multi-disciplinary Plant Management Team.Ability to interface with OEM customers and suppliers to address Quality issues and determine corrective actions.Proven, strategic-thinking Quality leader with a commitment to excellence.Proficient verbal / written communication and presentation skills with internal / external customers at all levels.Proficient computer skills in MS Office, ERP, and QM systems.Employment type
