Mercy Health Physicians is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join the Neuro Critical Care (NCC) team at St. Vincent Medical Center. This is a unique opportunity to provide high-quality inpatient NCC services within a collaborative, patient-centered environment that prioritizes excellence in care and education.
Position Overview

- Location : St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio
- Shift : 6 : 00 PM - 6 : 00 AM (12-hour nocturnist schedule)
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive handoffs at the start and end of each shift to ensure continuity of care.Collaborate with neurology residents and multidisciplinary teams to manage the NCC service overnight.Evaluate and manage neurosurgery consults from the Emergency Department.Partner with NCC and neurosurgery physicians on-call for complex cases and critical decision-making.Contribute to neurology resident education by participating in teaching and mentoring activities.Coordinate care across specialized departments, including Neurosurgery, Endovascular / Stroke, and Neurology.Why Join Mercy Health?

Licensure :Current APN license or Physician Assistant license in Ohio.Certificate of Authority from the Ohio Board of Nursing (for NPs).Certifications :Nurse Practitioners : APN certification by a national certifying organization.Physician Assistants : Graduation from an accredited program and current NCCPA certification.BLS and ACLS certifications (mandatory).Experience :Preferred : Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a related field.Additional Qualifications :Eligibility for prescriptive authority in Ohio.Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and adaptability in high-acuity settings.What We Offer
