Job Description :
This Sr Revenue Account & Settlement Analyst serves as a seasoned expert within Southwest Airlines' Accounts Receivable Team, supporting Interline, Sales, Credit, Settlement, and revenue processes for both Passenger and Cargo operations. This role analyzes complex financial, banking, ticketing, and Customer payment data to identify trends, resolve anomalies, and ensure financial accuracy and integrity. They lead cross-functional efforts to troubleshoot issues, manage system upgrades, and mitigate risk, while acting as a subject matter expert across Business and Technology Teams. Key responsibilities include Interline processing, including master data updates, invoicing, manual billings, error resolution, and quality assurance. This role is critical to maintaining the reliability of Southwest's revenue systems and driving operational excellence through expert analysis and collaborative problem-solving.

Responsibilities
- Compile and analyze complex financial, banking, ticketing, cargo and customer payment data in functional area of expertise and review activity for accuracy, trends, and reporting needs
- Build relationships and connect with others by articulating a shared sense of purpose, listening to others perspectives, and contributing subject matter expertise across multiple Teams and Departments
- Apply in-depth knowledge in functional area of expertise which may include the financial, banking, ticketing, cargo and customer payment functional areas to collect necessary information / data to resolve questions, disputes, and errors for internal and external inquiries
- Support the month end close process through recording accounting entries, performing analysis, preparing detailed reports, audit packages or case files in support of audits and legal inquiries, and providing a comprehensive walk-through of materials with limited guidance
- Collaborate with Business and Technology Team Members as the subject matter expert to understand and provide an impact assessment in functional area of expertise from system upgrades, complex commercial projects or production defects; recommend test case scenarios to perform, and validate and document test case results and ensure internal controls are implemented to mitigate risk
- Act as a trusted resource, effectively communicating facts, insights, and recommendations across Teams, Departments, and projects; acts as an influencer, mentor and trainer
- Effectively condense complex facts and circumstances into an effective communication, using proper communication settings and tools, and factoring in the diverse needs of the audience, including all levels of Leadership
- Prepare and present analyses and reports; communicate how conclusions were drawn and the impact on upstream and downstream users
- Lead Teams to identify efficiency improvements and other continuous improvement opportunities within department

Competitive market salary from $91,250 per year to $101,400 per year
