You have completed a BS in Mechanical Engineering. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in an engineering role for at least 3 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

Experience with calculating crack growth and Fracture Mechanics analysis, including familiarity with software tools such as ANSYS

Have or are working towards obtaining your Professional Engineer license

Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code

Strong communication and technical writing skills

Experience and strong fundamentals of material behaviors and fatigue

You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Fracture Mechanics Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include :

Perform calculations for fatigue, residual stresses and crack growth potentials.

Assist in developing new and more efficient ways to ensure safe operation for clean energy plants.

Perform calculations on fatigue, residual stresses and crack growths in ferretic materials.

Take part in Customer meetings and industry focus groups.

Support less experienced engineers with mentoring.

Support innovation and efficiency programs and propose improvements to methods and processes.

Write strong technical documents that meets our customer and regulator needs.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $82,000 - $111,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
