Job Summary : Implements quality and lean improvement policies, assurance processes, and quality programs set by corporate quality. The incumbent will ensure that the company's Quality Assurance audit program, training programs, and procedures are relevant and enforced. PLI quality assurance ensures high production quality through strict attention to every stage of the process.
Essential Job Functions :
- Develop, implement, communicate, and maintain a quality plan to ensure site's Quality systems and policies comply with PLI Quality System requirements.
- Manage all quality auditing, testing, and inspection activities.
- Work with interdisciplinary teams and production leads to meet quality standards and ensure proper procedures are followed. Communicate quality goals clearly.
- Manage incoming material testing and collaborate with management and purchasing to resolve issues caused by defective stock, using NCMT reports. Assist in maintaining product supply.
- Facilitate the introduction of new products / processes to employees across departments.
- Manage the Quality Supervisor and team to support daily quality tasks.
- Maintain quality systems to meet customer CTQs (Critical to Quality).
- Quantify and report defect levels in-process and in finished products. Analyze data and submit regular quality reports.
- Identify corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal / external issues, documenting and managing reports within the QMS system.
- Schedule and lead audits and training sessions to address process gaps.
- Track reprint and scrap levels, analyze trends and root causes.
- Maintain testing equipment and supplies; perform annual Gage R&R.
- Participate in client conference calls to discuss quality issues professionally.
- Control, revise, and train staff on procedures, work instructions, and forms.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director.
Qualifications :
Minimum 2+ years in a Quality Supervisory role or higher.Preferably 5+ years in a Quality Engineer role or higher.4-year degree or 2-year degree with 5+ years supervisory experience.Quality Engineer degree or higher preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Effective communication and interaction with all levels internally and externally.Leadership skills, including delegation.Problem-solving abilities : propose solutions, plan, and execute.Process engineering skills : analyze processes, suggest improvements, conduct Gage and Capability studies, design sampling plans, and interpret results.Computer skills : database querying, data management, spreadsheet design, MS Office proficiency.Math skills : statistical analysis and DOE understanding.Training in SSGB or LSSGB is required; SSBB or LSBB is a plus.J-18808-Ljbffr
