Clinical Supervisor

The Clinical Supervisor oversees the daily activities of the PROUD program including program and clinical supervision of the New Britain and Hartford PROUD teams. The Clinical Supervisor provides leadership, motivation and support to staff, manages the referrals, admission and discharge process for the program, and ensures the integrity of the program model. This role also carries a caseload for direct client service work in a half-time capacity (approximately 20 hours per week).

Salary : $69,000

$7K sign on bonus, half at hire & half at 1 year of service!

Education and Experience / Qualifications : Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Worker, Counseling, or other human services related field plus at least 2 years post licensure experience is required.

Licensure Requirements for Clinical Positions : Credential(s) Required : Connecticut LCSW, LPC, LMFT or Psychologist license required.

Location : Hartford and New Britain, CT

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

    Provides clinical oversight and leadership to programs within the department by implementing, promoting, and sustaining elements of the PROUD model of prevention, intervention, and treatment.

    Provides consistent supervision and crisis support to staff.

    Recruits program staff and addresses retention and performance as needed in accordance with HR policy.

    Works with Director to develop, monitor, and analyze clinical and program performance and outcomes and develops and monitors quality improvement program goals.

    Ensures contract and program compliance with ongoing monitoring and review of staff clinical documentation and data reporting.

    Serves as role model for staff to promote strong work ethic and adherence to model specific approaches.

    Creates and implements program development initiatives in collaboration with Director and DMHAS.

    Ensures that staff provides culturally responsive care and maintains sensitivity to and respect for clients' cultural traditions, values, beliefs, and preferences.

    Works with team to be aware of and address stigma as it relates to working with pregnant and parenting populations in need of recovery supports.

    Provides regularly scheduled supervision to clinicians, client care coordinators, and peer specialists as assigned, consistent with the program model.

    Maintains required Connecticut state licenses, certifications, attends required clinical training seminars, and assists with arranging and monitoring the staff training schedule to ensure that training needs are being met.

    Provides coverage for staff responsibilities and 24 hour clinical and program on-call coverage in accordance with departmental program practices.

    Carries a clinical caseload at an approximate half-time capacity, submits all required documentation and reports in a timely manner, and participates in and promotes quality improvement and outcome measurement activities.

    Reports child abuse / neglect as mandated, adheres to confidentiality guidelines and ensures that the program meets all necessary licensing, regulatory, and accreditation standards, as related to the program, staff, records, facility, and care of youth.

    Oversees the orientation and training of new staff.

    Continues to develop knowledge and understanding about the history, traditions, values, family systems, and artistic expression of groups served as well as uses appropriate methodological approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding of culture.
