This role is ideal for a skilled RN with strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing quality mental health care to adult patients in an acute inpatient setting.\n\nResponsibilities\n

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation).\n
• Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in accordance with unit standards.\n
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.\n
• Modify care plans based on continuous assessment of patient needs.\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing care activities.\n
• Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families.\n
• Promote patient and staff safety by identifying and correcting safety hazards.\n
• Support and mentor peers through constructive feedback and collaboration.\n
• Participate in ongoing professional development and fulfill all departmental competencies.\n\nRequirements\n\nRequired Education : \n
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)\n\nPreferred Education : \n
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)\n\nRequired Experience : \n
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in a behavioral health or psychiatric setting.\n\nRequired Certifications / Licensure : \n
• Active Illinois RN License\n
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association\n\nCompensation & Benefits\n
• Base Rate : $2300 - $2400\n
• Weekly direct deposit\n
• 36 hours / week guaranteed\n
• Potential contract extensions based on performance and unit needs\n\nShift Information\n
