Cocoon House’s Snohomish Young Adult Housing (SYAH) program will assist program participants by offering five units of transitional housing as an immediate solution for young adults experiencing homelessness. While in transitional housing, program participants will receive “Rapid Rehousing” assistance, receiving support and financial assistance to find their own, independent housing. Throughout the program, program staff and participants will work together on short- and long-term employment and education goals.
The Rapid Rehousing Program Manager , internally referred to as the SYAH Program Manager will oversee all elements of the above programming : the transitional housing program, Rapid Rehousing services, and education and employment assistance. This position will consist of managing budget and staffing for the SYAH program, supporting case management staff and developing and refining transitional housing and rapid rehousing procedures. The SYAH Program Manager will also work to ensure that the SYAH program works in concert with other Cocoon House programs, providing a continuum of services that contribute to Cocoon House’s mission of breaking the cycle of homelessness.

Snohomish Young Adult Housing (SYAH) Case Manager Duties & Responsibilities
Full-Time (Monday-Friday)| On-site in Everett, Snohomish County
Starting Wages : $25-28 / hr depending on shift | +$1.50 / hr pay differential for multi-lingual skills with additional paperwork
- Weekly check-ins with program staff for supervision and team meeting.
- Establish and maintain norms in transitional housing location, accounting for safety, accessibility and participant voice
- Ensure compliance with Youth Homelessness Demonstration grant requirements-
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all program data and paperwork
- Attend, and occasionally help to facilitate, all agency trainings and meetings, with a focus on increasing and improving collaboration between staff from different programs and streamlining Cocoon House services
- Provide direct service support, as needed, to program participants, including assistance with finding and moving into housing, finding and maintaining employment, increasing income levels, budgeting, processing payments to landlords, and any other support needed to help program participants find and maintain stable housing.
- Maintain and continue to build community partnerships with landlord and service providers that promotes wrap around services.
- Advocate for continued program development that is driven by youth voice, equitable outcomes, and data.
