Responsibilities

  • Modify and finalize product layouts as per instructions from the designing and engineering teams.
  • Receive and / or create rough drafts of a product and implement the design in AutoCAD with accurate specifications and features.
  • Provide foundation in SolidWorks 3D modeling and AutoCAD 2D, with exposure to mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Develop product designs and layouts from scratch and ensure design and safety standards are met without compromising the basic structure of the product.
  • Create perspectives through 3D views to help the production team identify feasible, cost-efficient, and appealing designs.
  • Handle multiple projects or tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality of work.
  • Communicate requirements with team members and resolve communication issues to align design outcomes with expectations.
  • Blend aesthetics and technique to achieve desired results within the assigned timeline.
  • Demonstrate strong drawing and mathematics fundamentals relevant to design and engineering.
  • Check and assist with assembly of designed products; assist in service and warehouse as needed.
  • Complete necessary orders for projects.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD, including creating models and manufacturing drawings.
  • Experience in developing product designs and layouts, applying design and safety standards.
  • Ability to present product perspectives in 3D to support feasibility and cost-effectiveness analyses.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and resolve design discrepancies.
  • Strong mathematical and engineering design concepts.
