RN- Nursery

Overview\n\nThe Nursery Registered Nurse (RN) will assume responsibility and accountability for care of neonates ranging from well newborn infants to those with special or intensive care nursery needs. Our Nursery is an 8 bed Level II special care nursery unit which provides care to newborns delivered in our Labor & Delivery unit who are under the care of our Pediatric physician teams from four local clinics.\n\nCommon diagnosis and care provided to newborns in our Nursery include respiratory distress and oxygen support, jaundice and phototherapy, antibiotic therapy, hypoglycemia management and care of premature infants 32 weeks and older. Our Women's & Infants' team is supported by a full-time W&I Licensed Social Worker, Inpatient and Outpatient Lactation Support Services and a Women's Center Outreach team. Our Nursery is a proud member of the Arkansas Children's Hospital Nursery Alliance aimed at working together for exceptional newborn care close to home.\n\nThe RN will utilize the nursing process in the provision of care and will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and the policies, procedures and standards of the Health System. The RN will demonstrate a commitment to teamwork through effective collaboration efforts.\n\nSAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION : \n\nThis position is a designated as "Safety Sensitive Position" under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients / customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services.\n\nQualifications\n\n

• Registered Nurse with current, active license to practice in Arkansas\n
• BSN preferred\n
• If less than one year experience as a Registered Nurse, must obtain a BSN degree within 4 years of hire.\n
• Certification preferred\n
• Proof of high school or equivalent or higher education\n
• Successful completion of Medication Administration Exam\n
• Basic keyboarding skills, preferred
