CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification — Certification must be current and maintained throughout the assignment.

New York State Licensure (NYS) — Must obtain prior to starting the position.

Basic Life Support (BLS) — American Heart Association only; certification must be current.

WHAT YOU BRING

Completion of formal training at an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a Radiologic Technologist, specifically in CT imaging.

Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center preferred.

Injection certification is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to complete during orientation is required.

Familiarity with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of patient safety protocols and proper documentation procedures.

Excellent communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-focused approach.

Ability to work effectively as part of a cohesive team, maintaining a positive working environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans, strictly adhering to all safety policies and procedures.

Collaborate closely with physicians to provide precise diagnostic imaging services.

Prepare patients for scans, explain procedures clearly to ease anxiety, and ensure their comfort.

Insert IVs as necessary for contrast tests and other procedures.

Properly position patients, including lifting or moving individuals with limited mobility, utilizing safe patient handling techniques.

Accurately document all patient and exam information in the EPIC system, ensuring images are correctly sent to PACS upon completion.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe scanning environment in compliance with facility protocols.
