POSITION : Production Technician Carpentry & Cabinetry Focus
DESCRIPTION
Capsule is hiring a Production Technician to join our team, reporting directly to the Director of Manufacturing. The primary responsibility of this role is woodworking, cabinetry, and laminate fabrication The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in carpentry and cabinet construction, with the ability to support secondary roles in general assembly, drywall, and food service equipment installation.
This is a full-time onsite role , Monday through Friday, from 6 : 00 AM to 2 : 30 PM . Were looking for someone with a great work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive team-player attitude who can thrive in a dynamic production environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fabricate, assemble, and install custom cabinets and laminate surfaces using woodworking machinery and hand tools
- Cut, shape, and finish wood and laminate components according to technical drawings and shop specifications
- Perform edge banding, routing, and fitting of cabinet hardware
- Ensure high-quality fit and finish of all cabinetry and millwork
- Interpret and work from shop drawings and assembly diagrams
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
General framing, wall board, insulation, and panel installationAluminum powder coat and stainless-steel food service assembliesInstallation of food service and commercial / residential appliancesMeasure, cut, and install drywall sheetsApply joint compound, sand, and prep surfaces for finishingUse of hand tools to assemble metal studs, trims, finishes, and cabinetryPerform basic warehouse support : shipping / receiving, palletizing, and material handlingConduct quality checks and final inspections on assemblies before shipmentMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow all safety protocols and proceduresDuring downtime, this position may assist other departments as needed, including cleaning, organizing, deliveries, or assembly support.
REQUIREMENTS
25+ years of professional experience in carpentry, woodworking, or cabinet manufacturingSkilled in reading and interpreting construction drawings or shop plansProficient in the use of woodworking tools, power tools, and measuring instrumentsAbility to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbsPositive attitude, reliability, and team-oriented mindsetValid drivers license with clean driving record for occasional travel (up to 15%)PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Laminate fabrication and cabinet installationPlumbing, electrical, or tiling skillsExperience with drywall, framing, and general constructionNOTE : All applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. and provide valid documentation upon request.
