About The Position

• Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills / Experience
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Telemetry -on the unit monitoring
• Telemetry - remote monitoring
• Use of Rapid Response Teams
• Required Cardiovascular Case Skills / Experience : Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre / Post Cardiac Cath, TR Band
• Required Endocrine / Metabolic Case Skills / Experience : IV insulin protocols
• Required IV therapy / Phlebotomy Skills / Experience : Blood Product Administration, Central line care / management, Peripheral Line Care / Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs
• Required Medication Skills / Experience : Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips - no titration, Titrate Cardiac drips
• Required Respiratory Case Skills / Experience : Chest tubes, External CPAP / BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Non-invasive airway management
• Required Professional Topics and Skills : Isolation Precautions, Wound Care / Wound Vac

Description :

Position is for a Telemetry Registered Nurse.

Shift is nights.

Average daily census is 25 patients.

First-time applicants are accepted.

Weekend requirements include working every other weekend.

BLS certification is required.

ACLS and NIH certification are preferred.

On-call duty is not required.

Clinicians may float to similar units as needed.

Floating to like units is required.

Candidates must discuss schedule requests with the manager.

No local travel radius restrictions apply.

RTO should ideally not exceed five days.

Client may call off up to 36 hours over a thirteen-week assignment without compensation for canceled hours.

Special requirements include experience with MS / Tele, Cardiac Telemetry.

Skills required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, and use of rapid response teams.

Responsibilities also include post-cardiac procedures and administering IV therapies.

Candidates should be comfortable with a range of respiratory care tasks and professional nursing skills.

Patient demographics include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Daily census typically includes patients with cardiac and pulmonary diagnoses.

Involvement in interdisciplinary support teams is expected.

Candidates must be able to manage care for various cardiac and other acute conditions.
