Job Title : Accounts Payable Supervisor

Location : Vernon, CA (On-site, Monday through Friday)

Pay Range : $35.00-$38.00 hourly

Our client, a fast-paced, growing food & beverage manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead Accounts Payable. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about process improvement and financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support two AP Specialists in invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor reconciliations

Ensure accurate coding and timely approval of invoices in compliance with company policies and GAAP

Review and approve payment batches (ACH, wire, checks)

Oversee vendor onboarding and master data maintenance

Manage processing of sales commissions and other AP-related disbursements

Prepare and review AP-related journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals

Reconcile AP subledger to general ledger and resolve discrepancies

Provide AP schedules and aging reports for month-end reporting

Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts, including freight and duty allocations

Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure accurate costing

Assist with expense classification related to production and inventory

Serve as primary contact for vendor inquiries

Collaborate with Procurement, Operations, and Finance to validate pricing and terms

Support cash flow forecasting with AP-related insights

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

4–6+ years of AP experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory role

Experience in food & beverage, manufacturing, or CPG industry strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of AP workflows, vendor management, and invoice matching

Exposure to inventory and cost accounting processes

ERP proficiency; (advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)

Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP

Proven leadership and team development skills

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Pay Details : $35.00 to $38.00 per hour
