Stormwater Maintenance Worker

This is manual, semi-skilled, and skilled work in Mosquito Control / Stormwater Maintenance.

Essential duties include :

• Cleans storm water facilities. Cuts weeds, cut and chips small trees, and bushes. Removes aquatic plants. Removes spoils, beaver dams and other debris. Completes written daily accounting of cleaning activities and equipment used.
• Maintains storm water facilities. Puts up erosion control devices. Repairs filters, headwalls, spillways, fencing, and fill and lay sandbags. Other activities include mowing, weeding, raking, fertilizing, and mulching. Completes written daily accounting of maintenance activities and equipment used.
• Operates equipment. Drives dump truck and crew trucks. Operates bush chipper. Operates bushhog. Operates slope mower and positract. Operates stump grinder.
• Operates light equipment. Operates power mower, power pruner, weedeater, chainsaw, power packer, power auger, concrete mixer.
• Use non-power equipment such as sling blades, shovel, rakes, bush axe, and post hole diggers.
