Over a century later, Callanan Industries, Inc. continues to be a leading supplier of paving materials and construction services, providing a complete range of high quality aggregates, asphalt paving, and ready mix concrete products to state, federal, municipal, commercial, and private customers with operations throughout New York State. Callanan Industries, Inc. was purchased by CRH Americas in 1985.
This hybrid remote position offers a diverse set of job responsibilities. Position requirements include working with the entire accounting staff on month end closings, budget / reforecast and other projects as necessary. The main emphasis is a team concept and the commitment to do what is needed to get the job done. Essential duties include, but not limited to, the following :
- Ensure internal controls are maintained to safeguard the financial assets of Callanan Industries, Inc. This includes all SOX controls, CRH AMAT and Northeast Division accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist with requests / documentation related to external and internal audits.
- Assist with preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports.
- Reconcile various balance sheet accounts monthly to ensure all balances are reconciled and contain appropriate supporting backup.
- Assist on completing budgets and reforecasts for Callanan Industries, Inc.
- Complete necessary journal entries as required.
- Work on ad hoc projects as directed.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Must pass pre-employment screenings.
