A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. • Work 12-hour night shifts from 6 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM
• Required to work every other weekend and holidays
• Must have current Wisconsin nursing license
• CPR / BLS certification required
• Flu vaccination required
• May be required to float to other units
• Primarily work on Adult Surgical Unit with some pediatric patient beds
• Utilize nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques and policies
• Document according to standards of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans
• Participate in department performance improvement activities and shared governance
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support patient care across units
• Use critical thinking for patient safety and experience with appropriate escalation procedures
